In this blog assignment I will be explaining the purpose of my website along with posting weekly blog assignments and etcetera. Below are links to readings that my classmates and I read, thinks helped give me an understanding on creating my site along with the genre I'm formatting in. It thoroughly explains how writing can be shown in multiple ways and in this case, my writing is being shown through my multimodal website. Links: Why are we creating a website for our English Composition I course?
This website is created because our professor believe that English is more than reading a novel and writing essays. He believes writing is all about "making meaning" therefore, we use this website as a content that shows are writing and how our work is evolving aka progress. This website is part of building our portfolio. How do Ball and Charlton define "multimodal" writing? Ball and Charlton defines "multimodal" as "Multimodal means multiple + mode". Do you agree with Ball and Charlton when they claim "all writing is multimodal"? As a web site author who will create your own web page content in this course, how would you rank the importance of the five modes on a scale of 1-5? Please provide a brief rationale to support each mode ranking. Yes because as mentioned in the passage it states "any combination of modes makes a multimodal text, and all texts—every piece of communication that a human composes—use more than one mode". What does the C.R.A.P. acronym stand for? CONTRAST REPETITION ALIGNMENT PROXIMITY As a web site author who will create your own web page content in this course, how would you rank the importance of the four C.R.A.P. principles of design on a scale of 1-5? Please provide a brief rationale to support each design principle ranking. C.R.A.P. is an acronym that follows principles of design that graphic and visual designers use all the time for websites, so I believe it is a 5 out of a 5 scale because one, we are creating our own content through this website as well as building our profiles. What are the seven sample criteria Borton and Huot suggest writers use to assess a multimodal composition? Audience, Tone, Organized, Transitions, Synthesizes, and Detailed. Do the Borton-and-Huot criteria seem similar or different from the criteria we would use to assess a traditional print essay? Why or why not? Yes, because Borton-and-Huot criteria is meant for students who wants to strengthen their writing than writing one for a grade.

Hi! Thank you for visiting my blog! I am in English Composition I, and for our first blog assignment we had to fill out a questionnaire. Below are approximately thirty-five questions that were written by Marcus Proust. Marcus Proust, was a French novelist, essayist, and critic. Proust believed the one's answer to the questionnaire tells you about their personality. I did not know what or how to answer some of the questions (reason why some are missing)-- because I did not have an answer. If you are interested yourself, click the link below and answer away!
The Proust Questionnaire __1.__What is your idea of perfect happiness? Conquering my fears, having a good physical/Mental health, and remaining genuine. __2.__What is your greatest fear? Being unsuccessful. __3.__What is the trait you most deplore in yourself? Making myself overwhelmed over situations that are completely out of my control. __4.__What is the trait you most deplore in others? LYING!! FOR NO REASON! __5.__Which living person do you most admire? I am not big on favoritism. Therefore, I CANNOT give a single answer on who i love most. Everyone is equally loves in my eyes. (Mom, Dad, Sisters, Brothers, Pet, and Spouse.) __6.__What is your greatest extravagance? Trips. I say this because I believe that money comes and goes, but memories don’t. Sometimes we have to forget about everything and be present. For me, what makes me present is being on trips. Taking a detox from life at the moment and enjoying life! __9.__On what occasion do you lie? I rarely lie, but when I do it’s because someone asked me to do a favor for them and I don’t want to…. So I make-up an excuse. __10.__What do you most dislike about your appearance? I don’t dislike anything about myself __11.__Which living person do you most despise? If that person is my partner, they need to be doing better than me in life, because they would be my biggest motivator. ALSO, humorous, outgoing, and adventurous. __13.__What is the quality you most like in a woman? Honest, Sense of humor, and outgoing __14.__Which words or phrases do you most overuse? “You know what I mean”. I always say this after I explain myself or something, and it can be pretty annoying. __15.__What or who is the greatest love of your life? My nephew __16.__When and where were you happiest? Sophomore year in high school when I first fell in love with Biology (lame I know). __17.__Which talent would you most like to have? To sing. That will be pretty dope. __18.__If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? Dwell on my guilt. Overthinking and making me feel bad about things that were out of my control. __19.__What do you consider your greatest achievement? Interning side-by-side with surgeons. It made me realized that I knew what I wanted for myself and I fell in love. __20.__If you were to die and come back as a person or a thing, what would it be? I would be an elephant or butterfly. Elephants shows strength and dignity. Mean while, butterflies are fragile, beautiful and blooming. __21.__Where would you most like to live? Dealt with terrible friendships. __30.__Who are your heroes in real life Me. I sometimes be surprised at how much I overcame as a small fragile individual (lol). I look up to myself. Always amaze myself on learning who I am as a person. __31.__What are your favorite names Falyn (FAL-N). Got it from the TV show "Dynasty" __32.__What is it that you most dislike Society. Every always wanting the same thing and talking the same way. Living the same way. It is mentally and physically draining. Nothing like conformity! __33.__What is your greatest regret?
